The Johnsons - Dallas, TX

I’ve known Donna for…ohhhhh, a long time. We went to high school together and were a part of the greatest hostess group that Texas Roadhouse Grand Prairie has EVER seen. If my math is correct, this year marks 15 years of friendship and, as I write that, I am literally thinking “woooahhh, we got old quick.” It’s been a joy and an honor to be her friend and watch her family grow and her career as a nurse take off. But being her photographer as she, Lorenzo, and Noah exchanged vows and rings (check how teeny tiny Noah’a band is)…no words to explain that particular set of emotions.

But I can tell you that it was the most perfect micro-wedding. Perfect weather even though it was December. The most beautiful Bride. The sweetest Groom. The cutest kids stealing berries off the wedding cake. An INSANELY delicious dinner while the Groom played DJ (if you know Lorenzo, you know the music was safe in his hands). A surprise custom bobble head cake topper. Oh, and did I mention that it was the first time I’ve eaten inside of a restaurant since February 2020 and I for sure cried just a few tears over that? Because I did. And then I enjoyed the heck out of myself and marveled at how spectacular the whole evening was.

Their wedding was the best way to wrap up a very odd and uncertain 2020. We drank, we laughed, we celebrated love. And if we could, somehow, I’d be happy to do it all over again.
