Oh my lanta. Y’all. I’m obsessed with these two! So much so that I third wheeled their date to the Texas State Fair the day before their wedding. They have a tradition of going every year on opening day, which happened to be on their Wedding Eve this year. So I put on some comfy shoes, grabbed my camera, and met them at the gate to celebrate marriage with vegetarian corn dogs and funnel cake beer. Best decision ever.

Lauren+Rob - Dallas, TX

Even though Lauren and Rob live in New York now, they wanted to pay homage to Lauren’s hometown in their engagement photos. Lauren grew up by White Rock Lake and Texas is SO dear to her heart (all you have to do is look at the necklace hanging around her neck to know that), so we wanted to use locations that were quintessentially Dallas. And what is more Dallas than the skyline?

I don’t really post black and white images. Go ahead, check my Instagram. They just aren’t there. And that it isn’t because I don’t deliver them - I definitely do. But I don’t believe every image was created to be B&W and I believe even fewer images are truly their most powerful when edited that way. But there was just something about Mallory and Cameron’s session that NEEDED black and white edits. It is like they were meant to be that way all along - before I ever took them.

Kelsea+Emery - Mineral Wells, TX

We had a lot going against us for this shoot. Our first location didn’t pan out and our backup location had a pretty serious rain forecast. Kelsea and Emery lived in Austin at the time and were only in town for the day, so we took a chance and drove to Mineral Wells. As I drove in and saw the heavy fog, my photographer heart got so happy thinking about how dramatic and interesting these photos could be.
